Veeerry early start to get to RTE yesterday to appear on the Pat Kenny radio show with the talented young singer songwriter from Shannonbridge, Louise Killeen. It really makes me appreciate how much time people have to spend sitting in their cars commuting to work in Dublin every day, how early does rush hour(s) start these days, it’s no life, not for any money.
Anyway, it all went very well apart from Louise’s car getting broken into the previous night in Dublin, funny thing is they didn’t steal her golf clubs!
Met my friend Ronan Collins who was prepping his midday show and also the legend Larry Gogan in the hallways.
Pat Kenny was a true gent as always and made us feel very welcome despite having a really busy schedule and reporting on the dreadful tragedy in Oklahoma, thank you Pat.
Louise will be appearing in the Mercantile bar on Dame street this friday 24th. with her band including yours truly on various basses, should be a great night, if the response to the last one is anything to go by, so hopefully we might see some of you there.
Time to do the hoovering…over and out!
